具有優(yōu)異耐高溫性能的稀土鎂合金在變形加工過程中其微觀組織形態(tài)會發(fā)生改變,特別是第二相的形貌、尺寸和分布,這將直接影響合金的耐蝕性。采用SEM觀察對比了鑄態(tài)和鍛造態(tài)Mg-5Y-7Gd-1Nd-0.5Zr (EW75)的組織形貌差別,XRD分析了兩種狀態(tài)合金中的相組成,EDS分析了第二相的化學(xué)成分,采用腐蝕形貌觀察、失重率和電化學(xué)測試對比了兩個樣品的耐蝕性。結(jié)果表明,鍛造態(tài)EW75中尺寸很小的第二相顆粒沿晶界分布,與鑄態(tài)EW75相比,其微電偶腐蝕更弱,表面膜保護(hù)性更好,耐蝕性也更佳。

Magnesium and its alloys have become increasingly attractive in the automotive, 3C products and aerospace industries because of their many advantages, such as low density and high specific strength. In recent years, rare earth-Mg alloys have been more and more popular due to the high mechanical properties at room and elevated temperatures. Adjusting the microstructures by deformation treatment is known to be a common method to improve the mechanical properties of Mg alloys. The microstructure especially the size, volume fraction, and distribution of second phases in rare earth-Mg alloys will be changed during deformation treatment, which has a great effect on the corrosion resistance of Mg alloys. Besides, it has been reported that the second phases in rare-earth Mg alloys are more active than Mg matrix, act as micro-anodes and dissolve preferentially in the micro-galvanic corrosion with Mg matrix. However, the corrosion behavior of forged rare earth-Mg alloys has not been reported. In this paper, the corrosion behavior of cast and forged EW75 were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation of matrix and surface film morphologies, energy-dispersive X-ray (EDS) analysis of chemical composition, X-ray diffraction (XRD) detection of phase structure, weight loss measurements, and electrochemical tests of corrosion resistance. The results indicate that the second phases of cast and forged EW75 distribute along the grain boundaries. Two different kinds of second phases have been observed in both cast and forged EW75. One consists of Mg, Y, Gd and Nd; the other one consists of Mg, Y and Gd. In comparison with cast EW75, the micro-galvanic corrosion between matrix and second phases of forged EW75 is weaker due to the small size and lower volume fraction of second phases. Besides, the surface film of forged EW75 is more protective because of the uniform distribution of the fine second phases. Finally, the corrosion resistance of forged EW75 is better.
